    Attorney Phil Griffis and Public Relations Consultant Laura Pennino will offer a free seminar on September 21st from 11:30 to 1:00p.m. in the Commons Area at 1322 Space Park. Business owners, executives, and leaders of non-profit organizations are welcome to attend this workshop that will offer information, tips and tools for effectively preparing for and addressing issues and crises scenarios. Phil has almost 30 years of legal experience, with a focus on business litigation, general counsel services, and personal injury defense. He is a graduate of Baylor University and Baylor Law School, and is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law. Laura has more than 30 years of journalism and public relations experience, having worked for what is now the largest PR firm in the world. She is a native of New Orleans and a graduate of Louisiana State University.

  2. Gulf Coast Film & Video Festival

    September 29 - September 30 @ Nassau Bay City Hall

    The 19th Annual Gulf Coast Film & Video Festival will take place on Friday, Sept. 29, 6:00pm to 10:00pm and Saturday afternoon, Sept. 30 8:00am to 5:00pm at the Nassau Bay City Hall, 1800 Space Park Drive, Houston. The Saturday night Gala and Awards Banquet is on September 30, 7:00 p.m. and is at the Lakewood Yacht Club in Seabrook. The Award Gala will present the Lifetime Achievement Award to the talented Texas director, actor and producer Gary Chason. He is best known for his movies, Clementine’s Grave, Puppet Love and Perverse Disorder. Kicking off the awards presentation is producer and actor Nick Nicholson as the Master of Ceremony. Television personality and journalist Ernie Manouse from PBS, Miss Kemah and other celebrities will be presenters of the film awards. This festival has gained international recognition by the Independent Film Commission and the Houston Film Commission. The Festival was recently awarded the Best Film Festival by The Houston Press and Houston people.
