The City of Nassau Bay will be hosting a community informational meeting about the Home Elevation Grant and application process on December 6th at 4:00pm. The meeting will be held at City Hall in the City Council Chambers (1800 Space Park Drive, Ste 200). The City will have representatives present to discuss the program and answer questions.
If your property is listed as a repetitive loss or severe repetitive loss property, homeowners may be eligible to receive a grant that may pay 25%, 90% or 100% of the cost of elevation of your home. The homeowner will be responsible for the remaining match and any HOA requirements or non-eligible work. The Home Elevation Grant is offered through FEMA and the Texas Water Development Board. The City of Nassau Bay will apply for this grant in the upcoming year. The process for this grant is time intensive, and the City will begin gathering information from residents and compiling data for submission of the grant in 2018.
