The following selected information is extracted for your information. Other questions should be directed to the City department concerned.

Alarm Systems. City Code Section 2.3-3 requires that all home and business alarm systems be registered with the City. The registration form is available online. Click here.

Animal Control. City Code Section 3-2 states that no one shall allow any animal (dog or cat) to be at large without a leash except within a fenced area. All dogs and cats must wear a collar or harness with a current city license tag, attached at all times, on private or public property. It shall be unlawful for any person to harbor more than three (3) dogs or more than (3) cats or any combination of dogs or cats amounting to a total of more than three (3) animals in any household with the city. Dogs or cats under the age of four (4) months are excluded from this ordinance.

City Parks. The City has four public parks. The parks are Howard L Ward Park located in the 18300 block of Upper Bay Road, the Lake Nasssau Park located at the end of Upper Bay Road (18900 block), the Pocket Park at Lake Nassau, and Swan Lagoon Park located on Lagoon Drive.

Most city streets drain into Lake Nassau. All persons are encouraged to dispose of pollutants properly. Please do not place pollutants, leaves or other trash in the storm drains.

Park Rules

  • All city parks are closed between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
  • The speed limit in the Pavilion park is 10 miles per hour.
  • Parking on the grass is prohibited. Paved parking spaces are provided for your convenience.
  • Glass containers of any type are prohibited in all city parks.
  • Bathing or swimming in Lake Nassau is prohibited.
  • All animals (dogs and cats) must be on leash at all times.
