The economic development of Nassau Bay is managed by the Economic Development Corporation
. This corporation is a nonprofit specifically governed by Section 4B of the Texas Development Corporation Act of 1979. Its purpose is to encourage the development and retention of business enterprises within the City of Nassau Bay.

Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership
Nassau Bay is a proud contributor to Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership
(BAHEP), a member-driven organization that provides the leadership to stimulate regional economic development and employment. Utilizing a collaborative committee structure, BAHEP engages more than 260 investor companies, business professionals, local governments, and educational institutions in southeast Texas, to bring about prosperity and a high quality of life for the 1.5 million people who live and work in the region. Members include aerospace, petrochemical, and health care companies; developers, bankers and real estate brokers; 13 cities; Galveston and Harris Counties; and the Port of Houston Authority.
