Since 1981 Nassau Bay and the shores of Clear Lake have lent a picturesque setting for CHRISTUS St. John Hospital to provide the Bay Area with quality and compassionate health care. The founding sisters are Sister Edwin, Sister Clare, and Sister Francis.

M. D. Anderson Cancer Center
M. D. Anderson Cancer Center has opened an on-site radiation treatment satellite facility at CHRISTUS St. John. The facility provides the latest in radiation therapy along with the convenience and ease of access once enjoyed only by those who lived in close proximity to, or were willing to drive into the Texas Medical Center.

The Center is in line with CHRISTUS St. John’s unmatched new expansion projects, including nearly 80,000-square-feet of additional space. Expansion includes a new Intensive Care Unit, additional medical-surgical beds, as well as an expanded admitting area, which sees more than 125,000 patients a year.

CHRISTUS St. John’s investment in new technology, such as the recent acquisition of a 64-slice CT scanner that provides three-dimensional heart scans, compliments their award-winning cardiology program and lends for a seamless transition into other areas of medicine such as advanced cancer care.

Sports Medicine & Fitness Center
The Fitness Center is located at 1800 St. John Dr. within the outpatient physical therapy department.

• Our mission reflects the mission of the hospital: to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
• The gym includes cardiovascular and weight equipment for a total body conditioning. A friendly, non-threatening atmosphere boosts the novice's confidence and encourages the seasoned exercisers to keep on the path to health and fitness.
• Memberships include a free orientation on proper use of equipment and program planning.
• A variety of group exercise classes, low impact aerobics, Pilates, yoga, & muscle toning, are also included in the membership.
• Aquatic group classes are available for a small additional fee.
• Reasonably priced personal training by degreed/certified trainers is available. Trainers can help the beginner to get started with a safe and effective program or "spice up" a workout program for those that have gotten bored or frustrated with their current exercise regimen.
