A spacious atrium and galleries features
changing art exhibits:
- Juried Competitions. Area artists are given the opportunity to
display their works through participation in several juried
competitions (open
media; photography) throughout the year.
- Exhibitions. Invitationals, student art exhibitions
(Clear Creek and Friendswood ISD’s “Rodeo Art”;
CCISD’s “Young
at Art”; a “Mentor Show” in which area high school
seniors’ and
college art students’ works are displayed alongside their instructors’),
collections (past shows have included private collections of vintage
surfboards, guitars, motorcycles and automobiles) and other special,
thought-provoking exhibitions (assembled works in neon and glass by
renowned glass artists from across the state of Texas) have delighted,
challenged and inspired thousands of visitors.
