[ARCHIVED] Thank you Beautification Day Volunteers

Thank you very much for your hard work - it made a big difference in the appearance of the City of Nassau Bay.

We had a great 2019 Nassau Bay Beautification Day on Saturday, March 30, 2019. Sixty-seven persons either signed in or were identified as participants, since a number of folks went directly to the work sites, without signing in. Twelve of these participants are below the age of 18 and Keep Texas Beautiful encourages their affiliates to involve youth in beautification and clean up projects. Six personnel from Nassau Bay Public Works supported the event, which was critical to our success.

Special thanks to the Nassau Bay Garden Club who provided muffins or arranged for contributions from Morning Kolaches, Shipley’s Donuts, and Chick-fil-A and provided coffee and juice for our breakfast prior to the volunteers starting their hard work. Please let these merchants know that we appreciate their contributions. Garden Club members also helped at the sign-in desk.

Seven members of St. Paul’s Catholic Church were among the participants.

The weather turned out to be great and didn’t impact our work in the morning. Then, the showers around noon watered in all the plants which were planted.
