Mayor Mark Denman and the City of Nassau Bay would like to thank everyone who joined us for the 22nd Annual Peninsula Clean Up.
Almost 70 people walked through high grass, trekked through heavy brush and scoured wetlands in search of trash on Saturday, February 8th. Some of the items pulled from the cleanup on the Peninsula included a 50-foot length of oil boom that found its way into some wetlands area, fishing lures, pieces of fence, tires, and a wide collection of balls of all sizes.

The cleanup is also part of the Clear Creek Environmental Foundation which coordinates a month-long cleanup along the Clear Creek waterway from Friendswood to Galveston Bay.
Also thanks to volunteers who brought ATV’s, golf carts, which facilitated transportation on the peninsula!
