The City of Nassau Bay would like to make the public aware that an alligator has been sighted at Lake Nassau. While there have been no reported attacks by the alligator toward residents or animals, the City reminds all park visitors to exercise caution in the area.
At this time, staff has notified the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and made contact with an authorized alligator trapper who will attempt to catch the animal today.
As a reminder, residents are not permitted to walk dogs on the Nassau Bay Wildlife Peninsula. We appreciate our residents’ willingness to adhere to our park rules and hours of operation.
