[ARCHIVED] Shelter in Place - Natural Gas Leak – Barbuda Intersections

SIP 9-12-22

The City of Nassau Bay has issued a Shelter-in-Place for three neighborhood intersections due to a large natural gas leak.

Residents near the intersections of San Sebastian Lane/Barbuda Lane, Antigua Lane/Barbuda Lane and Davon Lane/Barbuda Lane should shelter in place immediately, and plan to remain sheltered for approximately six (6) hours.

The City is blocking traffic to the area. All traffic that is not already in the area is instructed to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

Citizens should follow these steps to Shelter-in-Place:

1. Go inside immediately and keep pets inside.

2. Stay informed. The City of Nassau Bay will issue an initial Swift911 message and will provide additional updates via social media.
