Work History
Mark Louis Stelly is the Building Official and Certified Flood Plain Manager for the City of Nassau Bay. He began employment with Nassau Bay in 2014. As the Building Official, Mark is responsible for reviewing all construction plans, residential and commercial for compliance with the adopted Building Codes. He performs inspections at all job sites to be certain the construction is according to the approved plans and Code. As the Flood Plain Manager, Mark is the principal community administrator in the implementation of flood loss reduction activities including enforcing the Nassau Bay's flood damage prevention ordinance and policies, and any of the activities related to administration of the National Flood Insurance Program. With over 15 years of local government experience, he continues to strive to improve upon the service that he provides. He previously worked in the construction field and has a wealth of knowledge that he loves to share with others. His practical knowledge of construction is very beneficial in his daily task of reviewing plans and performing inspections.
